That's right yesterday Grant celebrated his 30th birthday. We met Grant at Noodles, along with Jill, Ricky, and Sue (Grant's mom), who is visiting for the week. After eating delicious food we ended the night with a Rick's cake (Raspberry Ganache Cake- yum)
Abby tasting her card for Grant before giving it to him.
Abby gave Grant an extra treat by finally using Dada to get his attention. She has been saying Dada for a while now but at first was using it to say dogs and then just because it was fun to say. I unfortunately did not get this on tape, but I did capture Abby sharing some of the words she does know. At this time Abby has these words in her vocabulary. She does quite a few others but I have yet to understand what she is saying :-) I'm still holding out for Mama.
Dog- da
Ball- ba
Dad- Dada
that- tat

Happy Birthday Grant!
ReplyDeleteAbby is changing so much! She looks so much like both of you too... she's like a perfect little combination.
I love baby language. I remember that Lily said "ba" and for a long time it mean pretty much anything that started with a B: ball, book, bath, bottle whatever! I just had to figure everything out in context (but I TOTALLY counted them as separate words) :)
